The Computational Geometry group is part of the Faculty of Informatics at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI). Our group conducts research in the area of Computational Geometry, with an emphasis on spatial subdivisions, Voronoi diagrams, and their applications. We have worked extensively with Voronoi diagrams of polygonal objects, higher-order Voronoi diagrams, cluster Voronoi diagrams, color versions, and others. We are interested in all aspects of these powerful geometric objects, including their combinatorial properties, efficient algorithms for their construction, their applications, and robust implementations. We have also worked with various applications of computational geometry in VLSI design automation, including VLSI manufacturing and advanced lithography.
